10 Players and 100 minutes later wwonka was the newly crowned HPT on-line champion.
Bdiddie was unable to co-defend his co-championship with me, and I had my aces cracked early by Jeff’s set ‘o 4’s which put me down 2000 early on. I was playing cute with my AA by min raising pre-flop and it cost me. I doubt I’d have shaken him with a 3x raise anyway and the flop sunk me. (read more…)

9 HPT players took on Foxwoods today, the 10 am Tourney (T5000 in chips with 20 min blinds) was just about full (215 players), we had one player out on the first hand (I’ll let him explain it…), one player made a damn good run at the $5k first place payout to take 5th, and the rest of us, well, if you don’t make the money does it really matter where you go out? Bdidde and I ended up chopping the 1st and 2nd prizes, yeah, lame I know, but after an hour of head’s up play (it was after midnight) we never seemed to get a true advantage over each other so we said F it and chop. It was well past my bedtime anyway ….
